PS. And yes, I will be doing all the rolling behind the scenes and will describe the actions and results in posts.

Ignore the conversation me and Drakmor had, it'll only confuse you. What's important is, did my explanation before that make any sense?

Hey, the different races do have special abilities, right? ((forgottenxthreat, I am so sorry that I may be confusing you. Maybe I should start a thread where I ask Tav other questions, so I don't get in the way of your conversation)) Maybe a bit of stats detail of Elves and Eladrin if possible...

Yes, they do have special abilities, but I'm saving those for the advanced info threads. I'm going to post a Races thread in the Advanced info with all the stat details, but that's taking longer to compile.

Yeah, each race does have their own separate abilities and mods, but right now for most of the people on this site they only need to know the basics (i mean, a vision upgrade for elves isn't totally important).
I'm extremely interested in this, unfortunately with my life my posts will be cr*ppy, but if you poke me enough I'll keep up.
Unfortunately (as well) I have not been in school this entire week, and will most likely not be in school until Friday at the earliest. This means if you're planning to start soon I'll have to start afterward.
EDIT: Hah, the real reason for my post is that I'm looking at either being an elven ranger or druid, OR a half elf rogue. or something like that. I'm too lazy to keep track of lots of spells.

No, not anytime soon, this is a work in progress and I'm still trying to build up interest and peoples knowledge of the game. Plus, this is going to be a relaxed game where everyone can have fun. I'm not going to go hardcore, or be rule junkying. I'll lay down a few house rules and stuff. Also, for posting, since it's relaxed I'm only requiring once a week (unless you have good reason, say computer breaks down, out on vacation, etc.) although more would be nice. Plus, for all of you that are used to uber long posts, it's not like that in this game. A post could consist of one or a couple sentences and is rarely too much more than a paragraph.
Edit in response to edit: Hah, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Fortunately, one of the reasons I kind of like 4e for this occasion is that the spell system is simplified incredibly. (No more freaking spell slots, WOO!)

Everyone, I have created discussion threads in both Basic, and Advanced info where you can now post for more direct questions relating towards the rules.
