You're right about the time travel point Sar. It does have its pros. But you really need to work on how it would happen. I could try and help, but you know I'm hopeless. Lol
I think that my angel peoples were around all along but they change/d over time just like people did.
So, which problems in particular?

for me, i just really don't like the time travel thing. i just can't like, i don;t
maybe we all have something individual happen? like bri's angels evolved on earth like sarah's example, sarah's wolves time traveled, and my people either migrated from their planet or are the sole ancestors of their species left/simply ancestors. something that fits everyone's needs? that would make it more diverse if everyone got there a different way. but i don't think we should live out HOW they got here really, it would be a cool conversation to have between the characters telling what happened.

I for one LOVE this idea. Anything to have Mirage back, since he's been a long lost friend to me. A war between humans and the mythical sounds about right, because humans as we are now think they are lord and master of everyone, so any other species will be eliminated.
Bri- a naked man walking through the forest would scare me too. But there is the problem, how do the nymphs reproduce (asexual nymphs?).
Time travelling is extremely risky business. There's a bunch of stuff that can get changed around, as well as total and complete unknowing of what's going on at the time you arrive in. Very possibly the vampires would have to time travel, but many other species could just be "in hiding". We'd have to have a variety, or it risks being oddly the same.
Ever read Redwall? Sorry, off topic.
Each race would have their own unique challenges when they get into this new time period (if they time travel). The other races would not have challenges except for day-to-day challenges unless a time traveling race just time traveled on top of them.
Any mythological creature will always have prejudices against another creature. Whether we make these up or take them from what we know, even if they're working together they cannot shake off the prejudices that have always been there (Mirage will never be able to like werewolves, even if he's forced to work with them).
And again, each race may not have to time travel, but unless there's a HONKload of hiding mythological creatures out there we can't have everyone hide. A variety would be the funnest, just because then it's not all exactly the same.

I know right? Scary naked men. Lmao. Any ways Josh, the nymphs are either born through ways of nature (e.g. they come out of ponds), or the Greek gods couple with the nymphs (in Greek myth). So I would obviously go with option A there. Hahaa good observation though I should've mentioned that.
I think I'm going to do "guardians" though any ways. (: I also had ONE more idea, but I could tie it in with that or make it a story. Bleh.
I love Julieann's idea of the "different needs" and I think we should do that, but as Julieann said-- let's not make it a big point. Let's make it like (if we do that).. a "cool conversation" as Julieann also said.
I actually think most of my angel-y people would get along nicely with everyone. Lmao. Or, they would, but people might not like THEM or something at least. It's just that I can't really imagine angels holding prejudices UNLESS the person they "guard" has many prejudices. (:
I don't think you can see my angel people. Maybe we could have two races in hiding who fued (sp? lmao temp. mind loss) with eachother e.g. vampires and werewolves (and if they look similar to wolves it wouldn't be hard for them to hide... maybe Sar you can have a seen were one of them is being hunted though! Like a hunter-man finds one! Yaheihfirehjeg) and vampires could live in houses and such? Also, Julieann, the merpeoples (is it okay to call them that? I can't spell awesomely right now and that's the first thing that came to mind, heheh) could live in the water still and come out as humans (when they come out of the water).
I THINK WE ARE GOOD SO FAR IN THE PROBLEM SOLVING DEPARTMENT : D!

BTW: we should create a NEW description board with a new form to fill out.
Maybe that's too troublesome, but I think it's a good idea?
If we do, can I make it?! I love designing stuff, lol. I'll put pictures and make it cool C:

Also: I think we should have a REAL deadline for the first posts.
Here are some of my ideas: -- The first post should be at a MINIMUM three pages, 12 pt. Arial font (believe me, that's really short).
-- The deadline should be a month and a half after we establish that this role play is actually up and running again (e.g. at that point, we have a month and a half to write our first posts). And come ON guys, a MONTH AND A HALF is a LONG time actually. I don't want to hear people whining about how they need four months or something ubsurd, because if that's the case you should write a story about that and think of new characters for this. Seriously.
-- If somebody is not done by the deadline, we move on without them UNLESS they have a real reason, e.g. I was uninspired or I had too much work to do or I couldn't get on the computer ETC. An unrealistic reason: I didn't feel like writing it (lol).
-- If we are all done before the deadline (unlikely I suppose, but hey), then we'll start before that.
Questions? Comments? Disagreements? Agreements?

Ugh, I have a lot of catching up to do. I started reading this thread and got about the first page done, but I have to go soon, and thought I might as well post.
What you all guys just described is New World of Darkness in a nut shell. I know it's NOT, but it's like it. Mythical creatures living in a human world oblivious to there existence....and they have to team up on occasion but not necessarily like it. For example, I'm in a game on Friday nights where our characters are vampires, and we are forced to work under the "prince" (ruler of the vampire subjects of a certain city) of New York, and the other two characters DESPISE me. It's hilarious. Now, that was just a rant, I have NO intention of turning this into an nWoD game I just...went off topic.
I'd really be interested in this, but I'll read through it a little more, get a better idea, and hopefully come to table with something to share.

TAYLOR- glad you're back. Start thinking of a species you'd like to work with. I have werewolves, Bri has (guardian) angels, Julieann has meremaids, and Josh has vampires. So, pick anything but those.
JOSH- Good that you finally posted. Nice to know this idea is being appreciated.
BRI- I like the deadline idea. And a description board, like where we say the general plot ideaaeaeae of the roleplay? Or where we post our character/coven outline things? Either one I like. I think we should do both. And the general plot idea should be THIS board, as we've already started discussing it here. And Bri, I don't mind letting you edit my first post to make it all decorated. I'd kind of like to help you with the description part of it, though.
For the character description outline board, we should make one, but wait a bit on it. Once we've gotten more detailed and stuff. And we should also make folders like Julieann suggested last time.
