Hm, so it's pretty much 1:30 in the morning. I'm awake and my creative side is alive and active.
I was wandering the site, looking for something to be creative about when I found the Mystic role play (remember, the one that died? The covens? Officially titled "Before Us"?) and was inspired. Well, more like first I read all our stuff and became remorseful and slightly nostalgic, and then I thought of all the ideas I could have had, and then I was inspired.
I want to bring it back. Okay, okay, I'm not that stupid. I don't want to just bring it back, since it obviously fell for multiple reasons. I want to revive it. I want to make it work. I spent too much time and loved my characters too much to let them not exist. They deserve a story. They all have a story to be told, and we're failing to do that.
We we all kind of silently agreed that it was simply too chaotic with 6 or so different covens, 6 individual worlds floating around. It's almost too much for me to read about and understand one new world, so I have no idea why we ever thought six would be okay.
So I was kind of sitting there, about to cry and be really upset, when I thought of a way we could maybe bring them back.
What if we had one world? What if we each took our set of characters and brought them to one present-day world (since it's one we all know well)? That would solve a lot of problems (and cause a lot too, I admit). Sure, it may not work. But I'm really willing to try. We'd all have to adjust things, a lot of things. And if you just don't think you can swing it, then post here and say why. We'll see if we can make it so that you can swing it (I just said "swing it" twice).
It'd be like a mythical creature overload. But it'd be so cool. All these different groups of creatures, all hiding from the real world.
Oh. my god. I just kind of got an idea. MYTHICAL CREATURES VS. HUMANS. Like, a war! Exciting! Murder, insanity! Like the French Revolution! AHAHAHAHAHA. Of course, that would totally mess up stuff for me, but oh well. Uhm, this paragraph was off topic.
We could either bring all of the creatures, the whole coven of werewolves, etc. Or we could just bring our main characters (I personally think it should be just our main characters). But we would not bring our worlds. I know, it's a lot to let die, but it's also allowing others to live again. And we could get Taylor to join the fun. We could have all the creatures not knowing that other creatures, different than themselves but not humans, exist, or we could have them knowing and kind of spiteful of that fact. The werewolves avoiding the meremaids, etc, and the humans oblivious to why. It would be pretty cool.
It's important that the focus of this be on an integrated plot. Not multiple ones going on for each group that cross paths every once in a while. We need one storyline. And honestly, we can throw ideas and a super sketch-y guideline out there, but I do not want to know where we're going. I want to give my characters, and yours, an oppurtunity to surprise me. I want them to grow, and change, and adjust.
Just take a second to picture it. It would be the best kind of roleplay: your favorite things, but you can add any new twist to them. Old and new. You'd have to make changes, yes. Shift things around. Maybe even start over. Or pick a whole new species of mythicality (that is so not a word). Change your personal plot-- better yet, kick it out. Separate the characters from their coven and that plot. If you like the plot enough, write a story with it. But on your own. I just keep thinking of Demitri and his confidence, his charm. I've never had a character like that. A blond(ha!), a genuinely likeable guy. And then there's Rebekah, in her oddness and awkwardness. She's not exactly original, but something stands out. She makes a striking statement in my mind.
I want to give them a story back. And I need your help.
....Sorry that was so long. If you actually got to this point and are reading this, then thanks. Thanks for hearing me out. Feel free to comment. Actually, I'll undoubtedly kill you if you don't comment. And excuse anything that doesn't make sense or is phrased wrong, etc. Try to understand my illogical thoughts best you can.
I just kind of creatived myself out, and I didn't do anything. I hope I didn't just waste a creatively inspired episode/tyrant here when I could have been writing. ...Now it's 2 am and I am officially ready to go to bed.

Sra! I really like your idea.
The thing is, my people... are humans. It would be boring for me. I'd have to INVENT a freakin' race because everybody took everything cool (lol). I know you said we could start over but starting over is a pain in the arse and it sucks majorly, even though I do think it may be worth it in this case if everybody gets into this idea. I shouldn't be such a shatbag right now because I could and would start over, I suppose.
I'm thinking about jumping right in and thinkin' up some good plot/characters/ideas to post here, and hopefully I'll post something more insightful here later as to what exactly I think we should do.
As of right now: I am bogged, like swamped-- overworked-- in my brain. I have one story running that is unbelievably cliche/weird/fantasy/etc which I've been posting (Alioth and Lyora, yes), and then I just got another idea today that I'm about to post about... I will try my HARDEST to do this, but it's not every day that I get good ideas and I stick with them (and a prime example is right here).
I liked Ronnie a lot, but I'll have to do some serious thinking about this and about what exactly we could do. I'm sad it failed just as much as everybody else, and what you said here really made me think about it some more.

haHA! MY IMMEDIATE THOUGHT TO THIS WAS: centaur. like, the idea of making a new species: CENTAUR. and then, lmfao, trying to hide that in humanity. -covers horse back with coat- "Yes.... uhm... its my... butt.... problem.... thing" LMAO! OK, serious response now:
oooho, wen i read this i got really excited. i didn't want to let all the work i put into the species and coven just fade away uselessly so i'm glad to be hearing about em again! but it would be a lot to rip out. but i think i could do it, it'd just be very hard to stop, and start pulling from the old ideas. yeah like some moments this sounds really fun to do but then i realize i like, cannot do it. i can't rip peices from it...
i tihnk that if we do this, these character that we use should be united together. meaning, the species we have should have alliances and work together, even if they annoy each other. i don't think that we should be the ones at war. we should have a common enemy. and i also think that... heh.,...... like, i put SO much into creating the actual race and details of their world that i do not think we should keep that stuff unrelated. i think that the characters that we would bring to this should be ancestors, maybe, of the covens originally created. that way their weaknesses and stregnths and charactoristics that need to be toned down in order to make this rp realistically work, can still be incorperated but one can say that it is the specie's adaptation to the new world, changing yet staying the same through the generation. another way we could connect the original covens/species with the select few we choose to rp is say that the world we created was indeed real. our characters just would have migrated from it, to earth. and in hiding and yeah. but it think all of the characters should be a group and have a headquarters, lol aka place, they meet and can be themsevles in the way of being able to show their inhuman traits and abilities where they aren't revealed. basically i vote that the secret of them being different among humans is kept between all our characters, and all our characters know and help each other blend in secretely to society.
so yeah, i'm rivetted by the idea and at the same time can't function over it :/ other comments?

JULIEANN I LOVE THE CENTAUR THING LMAO! I HAVE A BUTT PROBLEM, OKAY?
Julieann, also, you have some amazing ideas and I understand why you-- and Sarah-- were so into starting this up again and want to get up and running now.
That's a really great idea, Julieann. I THINK I'm game as of now. I need a new race, but I'm off to do some research on one right now. I was actually thinking of nymphs, but I really wanted a male character. And no, I wont make a male nymph. LOL, nymphs are supposed to be naked, beautiful women. I would cringe if I saw a naked man walkin' through the forest. |: (I'd also be really scared)
I agree with the "working together" idea-- they should annoy eachother though! Lol! I'm actually pretty excited for this now. I'm gonna start writing things down. Yay!
THANKS FOR MAKIN' ME GAME, GUYS. Sarah, you really took a long time working on this (as well as Julieann), I was just wanting to say that you really deserve this RP to start again b/c you even tried writing a story. Julieann, you deserve it too. And I don't want to let you guys down. You had great ideas.

Okay, okay, I have a creature I think.
It's called a "Peryton" and it's basically a deer with wings that casts the shadow of a human. I was also thinking about doing pegusus' but I'm not sure now. Lol (Obviously, they would become human)
IT WOULD BE ALSO COOL IF I COULD DO CHERUBIM/ANGELS/ETC C: IDK HELP ME DECIDEDEDED
Edit: okay yeah I think I want to do "angels" of sorts. I have good ideas already, lol

Glad to see the idea catching on....
But...WELL, uhm, don't get so worked up yet. We still have a lot to sort out, and we aren't definitely doing it yet. This is not a definite thing. I just threw the idea out there.
Bri- I like the angel idea. It works for you.
To Julieann's idea, I don't really like the idea of them "working together." I mean, not from the start. That just makes me think of furry woodland creatures working together in the forest and helping each other. They don't have to be in full-out war with each other, but maybe they resent each other. Then maybe something pushes them to join forces, and they're technically "allies," but they still annoy each other.
I like the ancestor idea, but I don't like how they came to earth from somewhere else/ another planet. If we do that, can't it just be that the earth was like that when they lived there? And now it's like this.
For some reason... I don't know, it's hard for me to picture Demitri and Rebekah in this present time. You know, because it's like, I created them for that ancestor time, and bringing him to the present but having that other time still exist... it just doesn't work. Demitri and Rebekah are part of that time. They just wouldn't work in this time. Demitri and Rebekah's relationship existed because of the way they lived then. In this world, they wouldn't have any relationship at all.
OMG. OMG. OMG. MAYBE, this probably won't work, BUT MAYBE THAT TIME EXISTS, THEY'RE ALL HONKY-DORIE IN THAT LIFE, AND THEN SOMETHIGN WHATBER HSDSUD HAPPENS, and they're transported to this time? You know, they are forced to time travel here? And they just blend into society because there's already a community of their creatures.... Or maybe they don't blend so well. Like, using Rebekah and Demitri as examples, maybe they show up in this time and all these present-day wolves are like "Why is that human with you? Why are you such good friends? SHE'LL EXPOSE US! GET RID OF HER!" Stuff. WOULDN'T THAT BE AWESOME?

Julieann: it casts the shadow of a human, e.g. it has a human shadow (its shadow is of a human)
I don't think I want to do a "time travel" thing. It's fun and all, but I'm just uneasy about it. If you guys did that, and then I just stayed in the present, I think that would be cool.
Because I want "gaurdian" angels, and I imagine them more-so in the present world.
I understand, Sar. Nothing is definite. BTW: I don't really want them to come from another planet, either.
& the working together LATER is fine, or at least cooperating together, in my opinion.

thats pretty much exactly what i pictured sarah, what did u say... like techincally allies but on each other's cases. yeah thats what i mean. i mustve written it weird, lol. but yeah. i just picture them getting together for a meeting and they're all like annoyssssss. yes and i too strictly feel that this is not definite because while the idea excited me, i too have some very big problems with this that i don't know if i could get over. like, these ppl were made mideval and i can't really transfer them to present time. i tihnk the time travel would be really messy becuase we'd have to give a firm idea of where they came from and stufffffffff. but i don't necesarrily.. gah.. idk. there's a lot that doesn't work for me, lol. idk. lets talk about it some more.

Well Julieann, I don't see why we have to give a definite idea of where they came from [if we did the time travel]. I guess that's the point: the focus would be on the present, but it would still allow our characters to keep the roots they came from. I don't know. In my mind I just think it solves a lot of problems. It has everything we need: It lets us have one intertwined plot in one world/civilization, but also let's the characters still come from their 'medieval' times, and grow up and actually live where we intended them to live and be.
I understand what you're saying Bri, and it makes sense. Maybe the angels did exist the whole time, but just kind of stayed hidden. Or maybe, back then, they were full angels, and then something happened along the lines, and an angel mated with a human, and now all that's left are half-angels, so those half-angels have to act as real angels, but also live in our world? Like, maybe the real angels could live in hiding, unseen somewhere, and that's why they weren't around in the 'old times.' But now that they're human, they lost the ability to stay hidden, so they have to live with the humans? and this is just a random idea I got at this exact moment. So I just kept typing and didn't stop.
Let's try and sort out our problems.
