Gerand had heard Belinda's command to Raine, so the fact that all the amra's were still there was extremely worrying, for both Raine and the rebellion. One window of the shop was shot open, and the door had been broken in somewhat. Also there were small signs of struggle. It wasn't pretty.
He stepped outside and felt the crunch of glass under his feet. The window had been shot outward by a gun. An amra was too neat to do this type of damage. It would have been loud. But Raine wasn't one to scamper. Gerand was unsure of what to do, so he walked in the door again, and saw all that had happened.
Someone had broken in. Someone taller than Raine, but that's not surprising. He or she had gone straight to the counter, and stolen some chips. The bags were out of order, and one was on the floor, stepped on. Raine must have come in during the robbery. The man at the counter had turned, knocking one bag off, and the next step he took toward the door had smashed the chip bag. There were crumbs back toward the door. The man had obviously tried to go through Raine but had been forced back. He then had shot out the window and scampered. Raine had obviousely followed.
Shouldn't she have stayed with the amra's? If the police showed up they were dead. Gerand turned, and walked out the door, and followed the street down some. If the police showed up they would get the amra's, but they wouldn't' claim him. He'd come back with Raine and they would move them.
Only problem was to find her. The city was large, and with her following a thief they probably were following a dangerous route. His ears suddenly heard a gunshot. He swore, and took off toward it. He didn't give a HONK about the thief, but Raine was his partner and he wasn't going to abandon her.
He came around a corner and didn't find Raine, but 2 members of the rebellion facing off against 5 police members. 'Taking them on shouldn't be hard,' he thought. He drew out his amras (one in each hand) and fired. Both policemen were hit. It was then 3 on 3 battling, and it ended quickly afterward. He nodded to the rebellion members. "Is this happening all over the city? Have the police stepped up their raids?" They nodded. "Shoot. Any idea where the main group is?"
"They've been defeated by us. Back that way." They pointed. Gerand thanked them, turned, and ran off. He turned the corner and saw the last of Raine's 'let's go home' speech. He only wished he could go home. But there was the amra's to think of.
He walked up to her as the group dispersed. "Nice speech. I wondered when they would start worshiping you instead of that b!tch Belinda." He waited for a response to that speech, wondering how she'd respond.

Ooc; Aw. I like the “but Raine was his partner and he wasn't going to abandon her” Part. <333
IC; Raine turned to face Gerand, all prepared to smile at him, a familiar face. But hearing his words that smile stopped in its tracks and retreated back to where it had come from, a grimace eagerly taking its place. She looked somewhere else, the surrounding garbage, the ground- anywhere but Gerand’s face or his eyes. “Yeah… They’ve always responded…better to me than to Belinda. I guess it’s because they all feel like they’ve parented me, maybe. I have been here since I was 15...But I don’t think they’re worshipping me...” Raine mumbled, her expression a mix between annoyance and denial, slight anger and embarrassment thrown in there as well. She couldn’t even begin to explain how sore of a topic this could easily become to her-one little word, one tiny question, one small turn and she’d be falling, plummeting headfirst into her past, drowning, diminishing to never see the light again or wake up, break free, falling victim like her mother, her strong, frail mother…
Over Gerand’s shoulder (ooc; not that she can see over his shoulder. LOL) she saw the now captured intruder she had followed all this time creeping away. Or trying. Ha. Like he could really get away unseen.
“If you really think you can just walk out of here then you are sadly mistaken.” Raine said, amused that he would even assume he could try. She spoke loudly, making sure her voice was heard by the Rebellion members. And just as she knew they would, they all came back to support her, surrounding the man and nodding in agreement with Raine.
The man was not foolish. He was badly outnumbered. So he didn’t have a choice… they all started to walk back towards the base, the captured surrounded by Rebellion members, many, on all sides. Raine found herself walking next to Gerand at the back of the group.
And they walked in silence until the tall building of the base had come into view…
Ooc; BTW, I know they have that mission to complete which would mean they wouldn’t go back to the base. I did know that when I typed my post, but I have a plannnnnnn. Just Josh… don’t post yet. Let Julieann go before you. =]
